The Department of Health and Social Care have released an update to the code of practice (CoP) which sets out how UK health and social care employers can ethically recruit from overseas.
The announcement includes an update to the WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguard list, widening the global market from which the UK can actively recruit.
The previously held list of 152 countries from which the UK had recruitment safeguarding restrictions, but has now been replaced with a new list of just 47 countries. This means employers are now able to actively recruit from over a hundred additional countries, including:
- Zimbabwe
- South Africa
- Caribbean Nations
- and many more…
How can we help
HCL Permanent have a buoyant pipeline of candidates from these countries who are compliant and ready to be relocated into NHS Trusts throughout the UK.
