Lyzeria Pauig and Jose Raymundo Hello! Everyone. I Lyzeria Marie S. Pauig and Jose Paolo J. Raymundo are Overseas Filipino Nurses who came here in UK 6 months ago. Today, March 20, 2018 is exactly our 6th-month stay here in the UK. We are currently working as a Band 5 Staff Nurse in Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust here in Luton, United Kingdom. Going here in the UK as a nurse is difficult. It’s like a roller coaster ride. First, we compiled and submitted so many documents to our Agency and Nursing Midwifery Council. Second, we have undergone different hospital interviews via actual appearance and Skype. Third, we had to take so many examinations such as IELTS, CBT, and OSCE; and those exams were arduous to pass. Plus, the waiting of examination results, the amount of money and time we spent just to go here in the UK and be a nurse is really not an easy one, but HCL PERMANENT is like an angel in disguise for us. It is our recruitment agency based in London, which has an office in the Phillipines that made our journey smooth and facile in fulfilling our dream to become a nurse here in the UK. They are not just an Agency, they are like a family. HCL never left us from the beginning up to now. They well guided us throughout our application. They really made time to talk to us, call us, and well-explained every detail that we have to know and do. The ones who handled our applications, Ms Esperanza Majarucon, Ms Diana Darko, Ms Elizabeth Finedon, and Ms Abigael Thomas are all nice, kind, smart, and have a good heart. They really took care of us. We are so blessed and forever be grateful to them and to the whole HCL Team for all that they’ve done for us. HCL will guide you very well, they will take care of you, they will protect you, and they will make everything easier for you, they went far beyond their line of work to help us get here in UK and reached our goal, because with HCL you can always assure that you are in good hands. A recruitment agency with a heart.
Julián Enriquez Alvarez, a Nurse from Spain Everything is fantastic. I\'m well settled and doing all courses and training. I have accommodation in the hospital residence which is quite good and saves me considerable money on transport. Thank you HCL for all the help offered.
Giorgia Paparella, a Nurse from Rome Just go for it! There will always be things like family at home, but just try it because you never know what might happen. I’ve done so well since I came here, like my promotion, which I couldn’t have imagined before I moved. It’s not easy in every way, but it’s worth it, and HCL helped me with a lot. Definitely try it; do something for yourself.
Dr Kasim Kolakkadan, a doctor from India I’d definitely recommend other Indian doctors to come and work here. If they are not planning to settle down in the UK, they work for a couple of years. A work experience in the UK will provide every Doctor with a lot of invaluable professional experience and it’s an excellent step in everyone’s career. In addition, it’s a huge advantage when searching for a job anywhere in the world. A couple of years work experience in the UK makes a person internationally acceptable.
Dario Marras, a surgical nurse from Italy Italy is where I was born and I think this is where I can create a family in future, but the UK is the place where I can grow personally and professionally. It’s very good to get to know a new place, totally different from my home country. My advice to other foreign nurses is to come here to build a better future for themselves. I’d advise them to abandon their fears and uncertainties that cross their minds, such as leaving family and friends. Be confident, this is an incredible and exciting opportunity.
Daniele, Nurse It’s been a pleasure to have this opportunity and everything was perfect. At every hour of the day I could always count on my recruiter’s help and I was supported in every single step of the process, which have made it a lot easier. I advice everybody to take this opportunity as well!! Thank you very much for all your supporting!
Christine Camasura, Nurse In all honesty, HCL Workforce Solutions gave the clear path and direction of my UK Nursing future. The time HCL was referred to me by a friend, I was from another recruitment agency that charged me big time, but did not really help me much. HCL was so quick to look up for an employer for me and schedule me for the interview. They even had a pre-interview briefing to guide and help me pass. Ms Gwyneth Barrett was so accommodating and always in touch. I did not have to pay for a single pound too. Thank you HCL and thank you Ms Gwyneth.
Charmaine Shovelton, Nurse The process of moving from Australia to the UK and navigating the NMC and sponsorship issues is a complicated process. The journey through this process was made so easy and stress-free thanks to my HCL consultant. She has shown professionalism, integrity and honesty. She has been a friendly voice on the end of the phone at any time, day or night, and has ensured I have been kept up-to-date every step of the way. Her dedication is inspiring and her ethics second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending HCL to anyone looking to make the move to the UK as an overseas nurse.
