Job description

Are you a committed and experienced Youth Offending Social Worker looking for a new challenge, or perhaps the next stage in your career? HCL Workforce Solutions is working with our client, Sandwell Children’s Trust to find a locum YOS Case Worker.

As a YOS Case Worker you will play a vital role in the Youth Offending Service, offering support to essential areas such as Youth Court and Statutory Court Orders. You will manage and support high risk young people on a daily basis in partnership with the police and other colleagues with in the Trust.

You will work with the family and the young person on a lone working basis, and will have to have the necessary skills to manage the young person’s risk to the public while being mindful of their vulnerabilities. You will need to be able to complete assessments to YJB standards, deliver direct work, as well as producing Court reports for Youth Court.

This role requires both Work From Home and office/visits with travel involved.

What you will need for this role:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Social Work England registration
  • Relevant social work qualification with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience
  • Current DBS/DBS Update Service
  • Access to a car and a full UK driving licence
