Senior Social Worker – Family and Friends Assessment
Salary: From £29.93 to £29.93 per hour
About the role
HCL Workforce Solutions is looking to recruit for our master vend client. We are seeking experienced Senior Fostering Assessment Social Workers who will be able to work within the safer recruitment and legislative requirements for our Family and Friends and SGO carers. The contract will be 3 months initially with the likelihood of extension beyond this, and is home and office based.
You will require transferable skills and knowledge in respect of assessments and report writing and be able to work within timescales to meet statutory, Court and fostering agency timescales in completing assessments. The role will be primarily completing initial assessments and robust, evidence based Form C assessments, in addition to presenting to panel/Court for consideration of approval.
For this role you would need to be a professionally qualified social worker, registered with SW England, have demonstrable post qualification experience of working with children and young people, safeguarding, assessments, Court and ideally fostering.

We have been working with this council for over five years as a master vendor, and have placed hundreds of social work professionals there.
Birmingham Childrens Trust Fostering Agency has a National and Regional presence and is the biggest children’s provider in Europe.
It is an exciting time within Family and Friends for Birmingham Children’s Trust as we are expanding our service and offer to our carers. Our ethos is to provide quality placements for vulnerable children and young people within their extended family wherever possible.
What you will need for this role:
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- SWE registration
- Relevant social work qualification with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience
- Current DBS/DBS Update Service
- Access to a car and a full UK driving licence
- Fostering or Safeguarding with court work background
