ASTI – Assessment Practitioner
Salary: From £32.33 to £32.33 per hour
About the role:
HCL Workforce Solutions is looking for an additional 3 Assessment Practitioners to join an ASTI peripatetic project team working for a highly acclaimed and recognised children’s trust in the Birmingham area of the West Midlands for an initial 12 weeks with potential of an extension.
The role is a city wide service and should be trained to senior practitioner level. You will be expected to support completion of urgent assessments – including S47’s / S7’s / statutory visits, excellent court ready assessment skill set and engagement skills working with vulnerable CYP and families across the city.
Occasional duty cover with advanced notice, dependent on case referrals but generally covering extra cases from a duty team. The role will be remote working (37 hours per week) except for statutory visit/team meetings. Supervisions are fortnightly and every other one will be face to face. You will join a stable and secure permanent Team Manager with extensive CP/ASTI knowledge and experience to help support and guide on a daily basis.
To apply for this role you will need:
- Excellent high quality children’s SW assessment skills, to produce concise analytical court ready reports within tight time frames
- Used to a fast pace, high throughput environment, with robust threshold decision making
- Background in SG / CIN and used to working with multi-agencies, particularly Police and understand court processes
- Skilled in ICPC processes and presentation skills in meetings
