Tuesday 27th October is World Occupational Therapy Day, a time for healthcare specialists to come together and celebrate their hard work.
Occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of health care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. OT can help them regain independence in all areas of their lives. Occupational therapists help with barriers that affect a person’s emotional, social, and physical needs.
The role has come under particular focus this year due to the essential role OTs play in rehabilitation, which has fast become a priority in dealing with the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Here at HCL, we want to thank all our Occupational Therapists for their continued efforts to provide a quality service in what has been an unpredictable year for us all!
You can follow the days’ events by using the hashtag #worldOTday on Twitter and share your appreciation online
